Earn With Intention: Why Understanding Wealth Comes Before Employment

May 04 2026

The youth ought to get jobs, but if they truly want to break the chain of generational poverty, they must first learn the fundamentals of wealth creation before chasing employment.

Every year, thousands of young people step out of school with one goal in mind—get a job.

It’s a logical next step, and for many, it feels like the only option. But in the rush to earn, a more important question is often ignored: what exactly are you stepping into—and why?

This is the conversation I.K. Adusei is bringing to the forefront in the upcoming MTB Series online pre-book launch on Sunday, 31st May 2026, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

The message is not to avoid work. In fact, work matters. Jobs build experience, structure, and financial stability. But when approached without understanding, they can also become a trap—one where effort is constant, yet progress is limited. The real issue isn’t employment. It’s entering employment without a foundation. Many people earn for years without ever learning how wealth is created. They receive salaries but don’t build assets. They work hard but remain financially dependent. And over time, this pattern quietly extends beyond individuals into families and generations.

Changing that story requires a shift in thinking.

Before chasing a paycheck, there must be clarity about value, money, and growth. What problems can you solve? How do you position yourself beyond a job title? What systems can you build that generate income beyond your time? These are the questions that separate survival from sustainability. This event is designed to confront those questions directly.

It also serves as the pre-launch of Adusei’s book, “Don’t Get a Job Until You Understand This,” which expands on these ideas and offers practical insight into building a more intentional financial path.

Hosted online via Google Meet, the session creates space for honest reflection and real learning—no noise, no clichés, just perspective that challenges and equips.

Because in the end, getting a job is not the problem.

Getting one without understanding how to turn income into lasting wealth—that’s where many go wrong.
